[Rumor] SHINee's Jonghyun on We Got Married?

MBC variety ‘We Got Married’ is currently into its 3rd generation of make-believe celebrity couples.

Rumours have been floating around on Korean online noticeboards that we may be in for more participation from male idol singers for the upcoming 4th generation.

[News] TVXQ the 3rd Asia Tour: Mirotic

TVXQ will be having their 3rd Asia Tour Concert from February 20th to February 22nd at the Seoul Olympic Park Gymnastics Stadium in Seoul. The boys will also set out to other cities such as Beijing, Shanghai, Taipei, and Bangkok *why Indonesia not? T.T*. If you're just hearing about this concert now, don't get your hopes up. You probably won't be able to find tickets anymore, for the tickets were sold out in approximately five minutes.

Alongside with this highly anticipated concert, the beloved Xiah Junsu is expected to put on a special solo performance of a dance song he composed himself called XIAHTIC. SHINee's Key will be rapping for him, while Xiah Junsu will be dancing and making every girl at the concert faint.

[News/Streaming Video] SHINee's Goodbye Stage

SHINee has come a long way since their debut 9 months ago. In that time, they've achieved first place on the various music shows and also won rookie of the year / best new artist awards. However, SHINee is now saying goodbye... but only temporarily.

SHINee will be taking a long deserved break and will be ending all their promotions. They will also work on their new album release during the break.

SHINee had their Goodbye Stage performance on KBS Music Bank. They will also have a Goodbye stage on MBC Music Core on the 24th.

SM Entertainment said that SHINee won't be gone for long and to anticipate a new side of SHINee.

[News] SHINee wants to save the earth

SHINee had a small segment on January 11th's Inkigayo for the "Save Energy, Save Earth" campaign. They sang a small jingle and acted out small scenes to bring awareness on conserving energy.

Key played the role of mother and wore a maid outfit. In the first energy saving scene, Minho was using a lot of water until mommy Key punished him to remind him to Save Energy. The boys were freezing by saving energy by having their heater turned off, Mommy Key came to the rescue by giving them earmuffs.

SM Entertainment is banned from KBS? Well that's the rumor going around at the moment.

The rumor started after SHINee and Super Junior didn't perform at the 2008 KBS Gayo Festival. Netizens were theorizing that the reason for this was because they were banned. They believe KBS got angry when TVXQ / DBSK skipped out on the KBS Gayo Festival to attend the Japanese events (TBS and NHK).

Hmmm... I don't know why KBS do it. SNSD's Gee MV teaser has showed up on this channel last week. Gahhh... -.-"

[News] SHINee New Models for Sports Brand Reebok

SHINee who started the fashion trend of teens is going to do activities as the new faces of Reebok.

Sports Brand Reebok Korea picked SHINee as the 2009 Reebok Model. SHINee has been getting love from fans in the 10's and 20's.

Reebok Korea's Chairman Lee NaYoung said "We are planning to remake the Retro Shoes 'Jam Collection' that was popular in the 80s an 90s. We are going to produce a new style that can appeal to the young generation through SHINee."

Reebok is planning to use a marketing strategy of having the shoes used in everyday life.

SHINee will start the Jam Collection campaign and start activities as the official Reebok Icon. The stars acting as Reebok models right now is Soccer star Henry and Basket Ball player Iverson & Yáo Míng.

[News] Rain, DBSK and Shinee Embroiled in Unauthorized Usage of Music for Performances

In the aftermath of the completion of the various Gayo Daejuns in Korea, there was news last Friday that some singers had used some music for their performances without the required permission from copyright holders.

According to reports, DBSK leader U-Know Yunho and Rain had used Justin Timberlake Magic as the background music for their performances in the SBS Gayo Daejun and KBS Gayo Daechuk respectively. But the tune was apparently used without any permission being sought from the copyright holders. In addition, Shinee’s Taemin has also met with the same problem, using Usher Dat Girl Right There for his performance at the SBS Gayo Daejun.

representative from SonyBMG who holds the rights for both songs expressed that Magic and Dat Girl Right There were songs that had not been released officially through any channels. They thus do not understand how they had gotten their hands on the songs. Although Magic was illegally uploaded in October last year but it wasn’t included in any of Justin Timberlake’s album thus they are wondering how did they get their hands on the track then.

DBSK and Shinee’s manager responded by saying that they didn’t know that the song was obtained through illegal means and expressed their regrets. Rain’s management, J. Tunes expressed that they did not use the music illegally on purpose but only knew that it was an American song. Some Korean netizens felt that it was a national insult. Even though the singers have called on fans not to download music illegally, why are they infringing on copyrights themselves?

Boa has 3 Phones/Numbers: Korea, Japan, US.
She spent more time in the US than Korea.
The most she keeps contact is TVXQ’s Jaejoong & SUPER JUNIOR’s Heechul.

In her Korean, phone is has about 150 phone numbers (including korean celebrities) but since she hasn’t been in contact with them, their phone numbers could have changed.
The most she keeps in contact are 10 people (including celebrities and family members) and Jaejoong is included in those people.


BoA says she is happy to see her junior colleagues like TVXQ, Girls’ Generation and SHINee growing up as artists. They are all managed by the same agency, SM Entertainment.

“Singers don’t have much opportunity to meet other apprentice singers after their debut. I learned about TVXQ only after the band’s debut. I like it a lot. I’m the same age as a lot of the TVXQ and Super Junior members.

BoA said for the past six years she has spent December 31 in the waiting room of the Japanese broadcaster NHK, because she has appeared in NHK’s Kouhaku Singing Festival every year. The singer added that she was happy to see TVXQ participate in the festival last year.

Five of the most fruity shining stars in the universe, SHINee recently interviewed with asiae.co.kr and were asked what 5 goals they had for the new year. The 5 goals were: 1) Meet Michael Jackson. 2) Have sex with Michael Jackson at Never Land Ranch. 3) Have fun with ladyboys in Thailand. 4) Beat TVXQ in a fight and 5) Grow some hair on their balls. [News] SHINee Becomes Disciple Of [C-Are-Us]

Calling out to their fans to donate the money that they use to buy presents for them to charity instead.

Korean young boy group [SHINee] came to Taiwan for a speedy 45 hours, in which they rushed notices nonstop, and even went to Guang Fu Nan Road's C-Are-Us''s bakery to volunteer. The 5 big boys were split into 3 groups, some made bread, some arranged the products on display, while members Jonghyun and Almighty Key who have learnt Chinese before were stationed at the cashier counter, shouting "Welcome!" in Chinese. Almighty Key operated the cash register under the guidance of the shop assistants but accidentally keyed in "40" instead of "44" which prompted Jonghyun to instantly correct him in Chinese saying "It's 44!", showing how scared they are about making money losses.

SHINee, whose average age is 17 years old, may be young, but they all have a loving heart, and even volunteered at C-Are-Us's bakery on christmas. They said "This is the most meaningful christmas." At the same time, they also called out to their fans to donate the money that they use to buy presents for them to charity instead.

The 5 of them were caught in a mad rush. Jonghyun and Almighty Key were the cashiers and spoke Chinese throughout while using gestures animatedly to settle the bill for the customers; Taemin who is the youngest became the disciple of C-Are-Us, and was in the kitchen learning how to make red bean buns. He saidly shyly "This is my [first bun experience], my teacher is really great, he can just make a very pretty shaped bun effortlessly, the buns that I baked will definitely be shapeless."

It's New Year tomorrow and they do not forget to wish the Taiwanese fans as well. "We wish everyone Happy New Year. We are thankful to our fans for their support all the way, and we will work even harder to present a new Shining SHINee to repay everyone."

SHINee shined in their performances at the 2008 SBS Gayo Daejeon. SHINee first performed "Love Like Oxygen", and then "Amigo." They then performed "Noona is So Pretty - Replay" and a pretty noona came out with flowers. The pretty noona was Park Ye Jin, most famous for being on Family Outing.
